Leader and Founder of the Steelbandits, and Co-Arranger
Hobbies: Playing any pan, but I prefer Double Altos or Seconds.
Proud to be the husband of Marie (Marion), and equally proud father of Sheldon and Shelli.
I became interested in the steelpan when I was 8-10 years old. I used to walk behind the steelbands at Princes Town Carnival J'ouvert. Live pan fascinated me then, and even now.
The child is truly the father of the man. My goal is to be an accomplished allround panman and to touch the lives of all my students (thousands... past and present) in a positive manner.

Guitar pan player, Co-Treasurer/Secretary
About me: When I signed up for my first pan lesson so many years ago I had no idea that playing pan would turn out to be such a big part of my life. I am forever enriched by that initial experience and continue to the enjoy the art of making music.
My SteelBandit family means the world to me and I pray for many more years together as we continue on our musical journey.
"Pan belongs on a world stage." ~ Max Roach

Enthusiastic, devoted, old faithful supporter and surrogate parent to the Bandits
Hobbies: Taveling and working with children.
During my teenage years, my greatest desire was always to play the steelpan. My dream became a reality in 1992 when I started to play the bass pan with the Naparima Alumni of Canada steelpan class in West Toronto.
Being the wife of Randolph, band leader, the mother of Shelly and Sheldon (a non-bandit alto player himself) I became involved in establishing the Bandits in East Toronto with a couple of the most motivated and dedicated players. I'm a tenor pan player, not presently a playing member with the Bandits, but I'm alway there. Gee, I wonder why!

Soprano; Lead Tenor
Hobbies: Listening to music (everything from alternative to parang), working out and reading.
I currently attend University of Toronto and am in the process of completing my BBA Co-Op Specialist Degree.
Steel drums for me is a medium through which one can affect an entire audience through the dissemination of pure emotion. I count my blessings everyday that I have the ability to play with such a supportive group of band members.
Bandits Forever!

Alto player; Co-Treasurer
Hobbies: Listening to and playing music on the pan and piano. Reading, badminton, skating and trivia.
About Me: I attribute my love of music to my Father. I grew up thinking "one day I would really like to learn how to play pan." I got my opportunity when one of my best friends, Cherlin McColman, "coerced" me into coming to her class one evening in 1999. I have been playing ever since and loving every minute of it. Not only is it a way to release tension from everyday life, but it is great to hang out with my Bandit family. We create beautiful music and have fun doing it!

Soprano pannist
Hobbies: Music, BOOKS, photography and other visual arts, sleeping, education and...more music!
About Me: After graduating from The University of Toronto/OISE, I became certified as an elementary school teacher. Currently, I am employed with the Toronto District School Board and loving the experience of working with children. It is incredibly fulfilling!
I began playing the steel pan when I was nine years old under the direction of "Pan Man" Pat McNeilly and other talented individuals such as Randolph Karamath, Chris Copeland, Tommy Crichlow and Mark Mosca---I have tremendous respect for each of them. Steel pan music has blessed my life in countless ways and I look forward to creating more beautiful pan memories with my musical brothers and sisters (Bandit and non).
Best wishes to my fellow SteelBandits and aslo to the entire pan community in Toronto and abroad!
"Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart." - Shinichi Suzuki
